Johannesburg- Mukuru.com, one of the leading financial institutions that facilitate the movement of money between Zimbabwe’s diaspora community and citizens still resident in the country has launched a debit card in South Africa.
The organisation announced of its debit card launch on the social media recently.
“We are excited to announce the launch of the Mukuru Card, a safe and secure way for you to bank with InterAfrica-Mukuru in South Africa”, read part of the press release from Mukuru.com.
The recently launched Mukuru card, a prepaid debit card will see the organisation’s customers receiving their salaries through this offering, drawing cash at ATMs, purchasing airtime and making balance enquiries.
The offering will also see clients sending money to their respective home countries, a challenge previously exploited by swindlers.
“In fact, regardless of whether you have a Mukuru card or not, as long as you are a Mukuru customer you can use your cellphone to send money back home”, read part of the statement likely to receive applause from the diaspora.
