Troutbeck Wins ZNCC Award

NYANGA – African Sun’s Troutbeck Inn has been awarded the “Tourism Award of Distinction” by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) at the industry’s mother body’s Manicaland annual business awards.

In a letter to African Sun, ZNCC Manicaland chairperson, Obert Muzawazi said the hotel was recognised and rewarded for its outstanding service and facilities and connection with the community.

“After a serious consideration of what you have done to the community, it is with great honour and pleasure to inform you that your performance has been judged to be recognised with a special award,” reads the letter in part.

“ZNCC has awarded Troutbeck Hotel the “Tourism award of distinction. We would like to take this opportunity to heartily congratulate you on this achievement,” Muzawazi wrote in the letter.
The presentation of the award would be held on Friday Golden Peacock Villa Hotel, Mutare where the annual awards for the Manicaland chapter would be held.

A three-hour drive from Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare, is all it takes for guests to enjoy the peace, tranquillity and splendour of the Eastern Highlands. If one want to try their hand at trout fishing in the well-stocked lake with three types of trout, they must provide their own fishing tackle.

Once you have managed to land that prize specimen the hotels kitchen staff would be happy to expertly prepare your catch. Other facilities offered at the Troutbeck Inn, include a games room (with board games, darts, billiards and table tennis), outside kiddies playground, shop, as well as laundry and baby sitting services.

The Troutbeck Inn, has also become known as a conference and wedding venue of note. The main Rainbow Trout Suite can accommodate up to 250 delegates.

The Brown Trout boardroom has beautiful wooden furnishings and the view from the huge glass doors would inspire even the most bored delegate. Additionally, the garden at the Troutbeck Inn can comfortably accommodate 350 guests.
