Harare, March 28, 2013 – Vice President Joice Mujuru will give the key note address on Zimbabwe’s new tidal wave of socio economic transformation and sustainable development in the modern era at the Zimbabwe business international conference.

The conference will be held during the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) next month under the theme “Building value and enhancing sustainable growth: The socio economic transformation of Zimbabwe.

“As we, as a nation, move towards the transformation of our socio-economic landscape
through the value addition of our products and services, it is our hope that this symposium
will set the scene by proving a platform for the dialogue, debate and experience-sharing of
the country’s movers and shakers,” noted Daniel Chigaru, general manager of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company and national economic consultative forum executive secretary, Amos Mushaninga, in an invitation to potential delegates.

“This year we have invited a number of international speakers to be a part of our programme in the hope that we may glean knowledge from their experiences and walk in the footsteps
of giants,” they said.

Industry and commerce minister, Professor Welshman Ncube, will speak on building value and the process of carrying out socio-economic transformation of Zimbabwe through value addition while Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will talk about setting the scene for the growth of the value system in the Zimbabwe economy.

Other speakers include economists from the World Bank and University of Zimbabwe and business persons from both Zimbabwe and South Africa.
